American Samoa – there are no codified laws related to payment for sexual assault forensic examinations; however, the jurisdiction has been paying for local victim examinations through funding provided by the Violence Against Women Act and the Victims of Crime Act awards.

American Samoa Alliance against Domestic & Sexual Violence, aka “The Alliance,” was established in 2010. The Alliance is the designated dual Coalition for the American Samoa Territory. They are an “ALLIANCE” that involves community members, victims, survivors, thrivers, member organizations. They provide primary prevention, of education, awareness in our community to eliminate domestic violence, increase healing while holding perpetrators accountable.
